So we got word from Telefilm last week that they want us to submit a full application for Production and Marketing funding for the game we’re currently developing at Arc-9. As glad as I am that they want us to apply I’m kind of dreading it since we have to put together our 250+ page application plus finish our prototype all by August 12th! There goes being on schedule…
Needless to say I’m going to be going a little more insane than usual trying to get all of this together on time. To add to the stress one of our key programmers announced that he doesn’t have any time to work because of his engineering co-op work, luckily we found an excellent guy to help takeover some of his duties, we just have to get him up to speed on what we’re doing.

Just got back from this years 24 Hour Relay. The Relay was a little different this year being at Wanderer’s Field instead of SMU’s turf because of the returfing and there were a lot less people there. I guess scheduling the Relay, Dragon Boat Festival, Highland Games and Atlantic Jazz Festival on the same weekend caused some conflicts, who would have thought?
Our team, the Sole Mates raised about the same amount of money as last year and managed to keep someone on the track most of the time (I ended up running about 9 laps of the field + block so I’m pleased with my non-running self) and we managed to hold on to our Turf Wars title but didn’t fare so well in the other events.
At the closing ceremonies we found out the Relay raised about $212,000 for the Abilities Foundation which is about 2/3 of what it raised last year, but not surprising considering the weekend. Our team won a paintball trip thanks to our beer cap collecting skills and I lucked out and won a set of free roundtrip plane tickets courtesy of Westjet after 11 people before me weren’t there to claim the prize.
In all it was a good time and I got a chance to catch up with some old friends and meet some new ones.

Wow, I never thought this day would come… I finally did something with my website!
Now before you start, yes weblogs are tired and passe and I don’t plan on this being one. Wordpress caught my eye as something that would let me easily update this space whenever I get a hankering to do so and was flexible enough to let me do the other things that I like doing. So enjoy my world or recoil in horror if that’s your thing.
