eAccelerator

Discovered last night that there is a successor to turck-mmcache called eAccelerator. I’ve been looking for a replacement PHP optimizer/cache since turck-mmcache seems to be abandoned (last release was in 2003) except for a commit to CVS last year to make it compatible with PHP5.

Got eAccelerator up and running on some dev servers and it works great. Right now it’s just basically the turck code refactored a bit with a few bugfixes but it’s good to see the project actually has some activity. I plan on deploying it on this site and RedvsBlue within the next day or two.
